Unas Send Delegation to South Korea

- The National University gives its student representation to Daegu International Youth Camp (DIYC) 2017. The event which took place on July 2-7, 2017 was attended by 91 participants from 15 countries, including Russia, Japan, China, Italy, Central Africa, Uzbekistan, and Indonesia. 

The delegation of Unas attended the event at the invitation of the Catholic University of Daegu as the organizer of DIYC 2017. This is the third year of DIYC organized by Catholic University of Daegu and DIYC itself has entered the sixth year. 

'We send three students from Korean and biology departments and to improve their knowledge, this activity is also important for them to open new horizons and hone communication skills, leadership, and independence, as well as networking,' said Unas Delegation Chairman Dian Metha Ariyanti, Tuesday (7/11/2017). 

Metha said, in addition to opening cooperation in South Korea, DIYC is considered as a good event to introduce Indonesian culture. This is done with the interaction between Indonesian students and foreign students for five days of activities. 

The Indonesian students are also presenting traditional dances from Kalimantan. They performed wearing traditional Borneo outfits and amazed dozens of summer camp participants. 

'We are proud to present Indonesian traditional arts in the presence of various nations,' added Nabela, one of Unas students from Daegu International Youth Camp 2017. 

Cooperation 

In addition to students, Unas Also sent his lecturers, among others Agung Iswadi from the Faculty of Engineering and Science to explore the cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering at the Catholic University of Daegu and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies of South Korea. Previously, Unas has signed a memorandum of understanding with both universities. 

'The partnership we intend to explore is to explore possibilities to run the mobility program for our engineering students to develop insights, especially in South Korea,' said Agung. 

He hopes that the cooperation will be held among others student and lecturer exchange programs from both faculties. The engineering faculty students are also expected to continue their undergraduate education at the Catholic University of Daegu and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Influential Writers Will Attend at the ASEAN Literature Festival 2017


A number of influential and critical writers from Southeast Asia will be present at the ASEAN Literary Festival 2017 literary performance which will be held in the Old Town area, Jakarta, 3-6 August 2017. This festival coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of ASEAN. 

The two most recent names are Malaysian writer Faisal Tehrani, whose book is prohibited to be circulated in his own country. There is also the author of the Fatherland who has just won the best short story award Kompas, Martin Aleida.

Old Town Jakarta 

In contrast to Un-previous year, a literary festival which was followed by writers from 10 ASEAN countries and tens of others from more than 20 countries on five continents will be held in the Old Town area. ALF will utilize historic old buildings in Jakarta as a venue for discussions and exhibitions such as postal buildings, trade creations, ceramics museums, and wayang museums. 

In recent years, Kota Tua has indeed been renovated by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta. In addition to being a historical area, this place is also a tourist area. 

Okey said, people inside and outside Jakarta enough to make this place as a favorite tourist destination. This predicate will benefit the organization of the ALF who want to get closer to the crowd, where the common people gather. 

This year ALF takes the theme of 'Beyond Imagination' and is held to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN. Activities that will be held are Literature Entrance Kampung, Residency, National Literature Jamboree, to seminars and book exhibitions. 

'As in previous years, ALF has always been consistent in carrying discussions with the theme of freedom of expression,' Okky said. 

At least about 70 more speakers from different countries will be present to fill the discussion rooms.

SCHOOL FUNCTION TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO STUDENTS


School is an institution or institutions who help cultivate the sciences, basic potentials of the students / learners. not only in the aspect of knowledge / intellectual, but also in aspects of personality, behavior, etiquette and manners are also taught in school. 

School will not only give the value of academic grades or rankings on students, the institute also has the function to provide services and to guide, educate and teach the learners to have properties / behavior better.

  1. Providing services to students to be able to acquire knowledge or skills the required academic lives

  3. Providing services to learners to be able to live together or cooperate with others 
  4. Providing services to students in order to realize the ideals or actualize itself

MAIN FUNCTIONS BASIC EDUCATION

Education is a very important field in building a country. A developed country is certain to have the system and the quality of education is very good. This is because education affects the quality of human resources. In Indonesia the primary formal education is divided into several levels, namely primary education, secondary education and higher education. Affecting basic education and higher secondary education. Because the secondary and higher education is a continuation and sustainability of basic education.

  1. Through basic education learners equipped with basic skills related to critical thinking, reading, writing, arithmetic, mastery of the basics to learn sainstek , and communication skills are a requirement of minimal ability in public life.

  3. Study of basic education in Indonesia normally found in elementary school (SD) and Islamic Elementary School (MI) becomes the basis for compulsory education to 12 years. Definition of Basic Education

FUNCTION OF EDUCATION
